Growing the game...
The future of this great sport is rooted in the ability to attract and retain new players. High school golf is a great way for young players to catch the golf bug. Since 1937 the LHS golf team has played its home matches at LCC and this tradition continues.
Another longstanding tradition is for the team to come out in early spring and help clean up the golf course. They rake up sticks and leaves and also fix bunker washouts which saves our old backs. They put in a tremendous effort and save the staff time in labor. I appreciate the effort they put forth in helping out our staff and more importantly the club.
They have a "green" squad dominated by freshman and sophomores. Joe D'Andrea will anchor the team. Coach Gallow returns in his 7th season as the golf coach. We wish them good luck in the upcoming season!
