Open for walkers on 4/14

The bluebirds and osprey are back which is a sure sign of spring!  The golf course is slowly greening up with these warm sunny days.  The turfgrass is looking very good and we experienced no unpleasant surprises this winter.  The soils are still saturated  and we will need this week to dry out before opening up for play.

Today the greens were rolled, mowed, and sprayed with a plant growth regulator to suppress seedheads from developing.  The greens are a little shaggy and bumpy but will smooth out over the coming weeks as we continue to roll and mow them.

We are weeks behind on our spring clean up due to the prolonged snow cover and excessively wet soil conditions.  Please keep this in mind when you come out to play! We are hoping to open for walkers on Friday.  Carts will be allowed once the soils completely dry out.

Looking forward to the start of the season!  See you out in the fairways!
