Course update
The golf course will remain closed until next week. The river has receded but the soils are saturated which is hampering our efforts to clean up flood debris. Today we were able to clean up the 7th fairway of all the leaves and pine needles. The 2nd, 8th, and 9th holes is littered with flood debris and until the soils dry out we wont start the clean up process on those holes.
The staff has been doing a tremendous job with fall clean up around the clubhouse and in the upper and lower parking lots. We will continue to concentrate our fall clean up efforts on the "high" side of the course and tackle the flood plain when it is appropriate.
The green staff last day is scheduled soon. Our short term goal is to try and get the course cleaned up, playable and open for walkers. This will largely depend on the upcoming weather and what we can accomplish in a short amount of time before the staffs last day.
I will update the blog next week with course conditions. Have a good weekend!
