Pins are in!
The golf course opened last week. Over the weekend the grass started to come out of dormancy. I was starting to feel we were gaining some momentum and then Mother Nature once again shows who's in the driver seat.
I just glanced at the calender and it s April 16th, National Golf Day! No golf today at LCC. We will reopen for walkers as soon as the snow melts. Carts will we be allowed once soil conditions warrant the traffic.
Last week the LHS golf team spent an afternoon on the course as they do every year. They raked sand bunkers and cleaned up leaves and sticks in the rough. They did a fantastic job..... all 17 of them! I hope they have a successful season.
Im anxious to get going and finish the spring cleanup. Once the grass breaks dormancy we will be mowing all playing surfaces on a regular schedule. Hope to see you out on the fairways!
